Pool Pad iOS App and Smart Sensors

In 2016 Dr Helmer rapidly developed Superinteractive’s ‘Pool Pad’ IoT technology to meet Swimming Australia’s need for a mobile technology that could measure key times easily and accurately (to 1/100th second) at any pool. The new mobile system was developed in 6 months and continues to be used by Australia’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes and has supported training leading to current World Record times. “We wanted coaches to be able to have access to an accurate timing system that didn’t require the full 8-lane competition system and its complex setup. What we got was an even better product.
